The only thing that seemed to happen was some sort of error with a 'PCI device' in the device manager. However, when we plugged in the Intel 600p SSD, the computer would not detect it at all. The Samsung SSD had been working fine like any storage device should.

The other slot on the adapter allowed him to plug in an Intel 600p series m.2 SSD through a PCIE port. He bought a 2 slot adapter card that allowed him to plug a Samsung SSD into his computer through a SATA port. The problem, however, is that when when we plugged it into his PC, his computer would not detect it at all. He recently bought a m.2 PCIE SSD for his computer. I am actually asking this for my brother.
